Joe Forman Memorial Turret Fund

Preserving History

A Fund has been established to restore the turret on the B-25D Yankee Warrior (the only flying B-25D in the U.S.A) at the Yankee Air Museum in Belleville, Michigan

This aircraft has undergone the removal of the patch where the turret once was and a new turret was installed.

The Yankee Warrior is the identical model B-25 Mitchell that Joe Forman flew on and shot down two Japanese fighters. Two Japanese Rising Sun flags will be placed at the base of the Plexiglas dome as well as Joe Forman's name to memorialize his service to the U.S.A.during those difficult years. Joe Forman received the Air Medal with four Oak Leaf Clusters as well as the Purple Heart for his actions against the Japanese in New Guinea.

Please donate to The Yankee Warrior and the Yankee Air Museum. All contributions may be Tax Deductible. IRS code 501 (C3).
